Gorgeous Japanese mama, Mami hails from Osaka where she lives with her husband and little boy, Renji. Upon discovering Mami's Instagram feed, we fell in love with her dreamy images of life in Japan. Mami spoke to Children of the Tribe about motherhood, her suggestions for what is a must-see when visiting Japan, and her hope to one day visit our magical beach town of Byron Bay. What do you love most about living in Osaka, Japan?
We are so loving to live in a suburban area in Osaka where we can feel air of nature but still it's close enough to downtown. We enjoy having lunch at the café and shopping at our favourite shops in town on the weekends.

How did you discover Children of the Tribe?
I've discovered Children of the Tribe at one of my favourite shops in Osaka called Always Sunshine.Co Gallery and I fell in love with their clothes at first sight!

What is a must-see when visiting Japan with kids?
Onsen Ryokan – Japanese style accommodation with hot springs. There are lots of beautiful Onsen Ryokan in Japan where the whole family will have a lovely time.
日本には各地に素敵な温泉旅館があります。大きなお風呂や露天風呂などは子供もきっと楽しめるはずです！
It's summer in Japan. Do you have any trips coming up? Any outdoor camping plans?
I would love to travel somewhere close to the beach and also I am so keen to go glamping again where we can appreciate the beautiful nature.
綺麗な海の近くに旅行にいきたいなと考えています！先月はじめて体験したグランピングもとても楽しかったのでまた行きたいです。
Can you share one magical memory you've experienced with your husband and Renji recently?
My son Renji has started to talk and he is getting better day by day. We are so blessed and fortunate to have our son in our life. Every moment with him is such a precious time and he makes me and my husband happy all the time.

Your dream destination is...
My dream destination is Australia – Byron Bay, famous for the relaxed alternate lifestyle surrounded by the magical beaches and spectacular nature. I would love to try the organic food in Byron and of course do some shopping!
