Jessica Ducrou is easily the most powerful women in the Australian music biz. She co-founded the largest and best festival in Oz- Splendour in the Grass in 2001. This past week, thousands upon thousands piled into our little coastal town of Byron Bay to attend the fourteenth annual Splendour festival.
The festival showcases the latest acts in music as well as numerous food and market stalls, arts showcase, camping, a very small mall, kids club and a whole lot more for festival goers to stir the senses for days.
And who is behind all of this goodness? Jessica and an amazingly brilliant team. Jess is a wife, boss-lady and mum of two. Jess and Dane travel with their two children in between festival madness, they are home bodies in down time and come together as a normal family.
Perhaps Jess’s family life contributes to the epic vibe of Splendour, as they cater for all ages. Even “Little Splendour” has dress-ups, jumping castle, their own musical acts, toys, sand pit, the works- it’s kid heaven.
So, thanks to Jess and her awesome team for bringing such great entertainment to our area, Splendour in the Grass just adds to the cultural utopia here in Byron Bay…
We will see you next year Splendour!
